Whitfield School Stop, Drop, Go Zone
The Stop, Drop, Go zone on Marino Street is a busy little hub. In order to make this a quick and safe way to drop off/pick up students we’ve had a suggestion from a clever parent to use name cards on car visors (see photo). Kids are often busy getting those last minutes in with their friends and are not looking out for their parents.
By using this handy name card, the teachers on duty are able to identify students and send them to waiting vehicles. We’ve provided a Student Pickup Sign (PDF, 66KB) for parents who want to use this system. We suggest laminating it and attaching it to the front passenger visor so you can flip it down when picking up your kids!
SafeST – Information gathering
The P&C have developed a survey for our school community to contribute to, which we would encourage parents and families to complete. We would also welcome direct submissions from our families, community members and neighbours.
