In February, at the Annual General Meeting, members are elected to an Executive Committee which oversees the running of the Association and its various Sub-Committees. The P&C Association has a Constitution and the end of financial year is December 31st. It is an accountable body, reporting to the Department of Education, the Q.C.P.C.A (Queensland Council of Parents and Citizens Association), other Government Departments and its own members.

The P&C acts in a collaborative manner and consults closely with the school Principal, School Council, teaching staff, administration staff, grounds and cleaning staff. We aim to assist and provide necessary additional equipment and enhancement items for the school. The P&C meetings also provide a forum for parents to raise and debate relevant issues relating to Whitfield State School.

The P&C meets on the second Tuesday of each month (6:00pm - 7:30pm) in the school staff room.
